Many people took to the water in Friday's warm weather. The Randleman Reservoir filled up in a little more than an hour after opening its gates. Then some fishermen even waited for their turn in the hot sun.
Randolph County is spending more than $1.8 million a year on its allotment of treated water, but the county does not have enough customers to use all of the water it's buying.
The Randleman Reservoir is scheduled to start supplying water to Triad communities starting Monday, and Greensboro water officials want to make customers aware their water may be muddy or discolored when the water first starts flowing.
