Randleman Police are looking for a man they say is to blame for kidnapping and raping an elderly woman in Albemarle.

A 17-year-old from Randleman was killed Tuesday night when she pulled in front of another vehicle, according to the NC Highway Patrol.

Greensboro Police originally said it would take all day before the road was reopened, but crews are still on the scene directing traffic.

Deputies say they searched an apartment at 220 Windsor Place Circle and found one desktop computer with the pornographic material on it.

The men walked into the Subway on Randleman Road in Greensboro demanding money.

The Randleman Reservoir is scheduled to start supplying water to Triad communities starting Monday, and Greensboro water officials want to make customers aware their water may be muddy or discolored when the water first starts flowing.

A Greensboro elementary school was placed on lockdown while police searched for the suspects.

Sgt. Sturgill with Highway Patrol says James Atkins turned himself in Friday afternoon. He is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and felony hit and run.

Highway Patrol said the driver overcorrected after driving left of center.
